Solflare Card Overview

The Solflare Card lets you spend USDC straight from your Solflare wallet anywhere Mastercard works, online, in stores, or at an ATM. Your coins sit in your own wallet until the moment a payment clears. There is no separate balance to load and no middleman holding your funds. Solflare handles the payment rails, and you keep the keys the whole time.

This card is for anyone already living inside Solana who gets tired of the gap between holding crypto and paying for real things. SOL stakers who want spending power without selling their position, active traders who avoid leaving assets on exchanges, and travelers who need a card that works globally all fit the use case. If you already keep USDC in Solflare for swaps or staking, this removes one more off ramp from your routine.

Setup runs through the Solflare mobile app. You complete a quick KYC step with a government ID, get approved within minutes, and a virtual card appears the same day. Add it to Google Pay for phone taps, or order a physical card later for places that still need a swipe. Every purchase converts your USDC to local currency at the point of sale in under a second, so there is no pre-loading and no waiting on a bank transfer. A push notification hits your phone after each spend with the merchant name and the exact USDC amount, and the card tab keeps a full history you can filter anytime.

One feature sets this apart from a normal crypto debit card: Card Borrows. SOL holders can deposit SOL as collateral through Kamino inside the same app, and the card borrows only the USDC needed for each tap against that collateral. Your SOL keeps earning yield the entire time it sits as collateral, and interest only accrues on what you actually spend. Loan-to-value stays under 75 percent, with health meters and alerts so the position never sneaks up on you.

Fees stay plain. No annual fee, no monthly fee, and no charge for topping up through bank transfer or SEPA. Non-USD purchases carry a flat 1 percent FX fee plus standard Mastercard network rates, and ATM withdrawals only carry the operator's own fee. Everything shows up clearly on your statement, so there are no surprise deductions later.

Support runs through live human chat in the app and on the website, a detailed help center for funding and troubleshooting questions, and an active community on Discord for users who want peer help alongside official answers. Users on X have called out the same thing repeatedly: they get to keep custody of their coins while still spending them like normal money. That combination, real spending power without giving up the wallet, is the whole point of the card.

Solflare Card Key features

  • Self Custody Spending

Your USDC stays in your own wallet until the exact moment a payment clears. Solflare handles the payment rails, but you hold the keys the whole time.

  • No Top Up Needed

Spend straight from your USDC balance with no prepaid pot to fill first. The wallet converts to local currency at checkout in under a second.

  • Mastercard Everywhere

The card works at over 110 million spots that take Mastercard, plus ATMs. Add it to Google Pay right away, or order a physical card for stores that need a swipe.

  • Fast Virtual Card

Open the app, finish quick KYC with an ID, and get approved in minutes. You can start spending with the virtual card the same day.

  • Borrow Against SOL

Deposit SOL as collateral through Kamino and let the card pull USDC against it when you tap to pay. Your SOL keeps earning yield while it sits as collateral, and interest only builds on what you spend.

  • Clear Fee Structure

There is no annual fee, no monthly fee, and no top up fee for bank funding. Non USD purchases carry a flat 1 percent FX charge plus standard Mastercard network rates, and every charge shows up on your statement.

How to use Solflare Card

  1. Open the app and fund it

Open Solflare on your phone and check that your wallet holds USDC. This is the balance the card will spend from.

  2. Start your card application

Tap the card icon in the portfolio banner, select Get Solflare Card, and enter your email and basic details.

  3. Complete instant KYC

Upload a government ID and wait for approval, which usually takes one to two minutes.

  4. Generate your virtual card

Once approved, generate the virtual card right away and add it to Google Pay for phone taps.

  5. Order the physical card

Request a physical card from the same screen if you want to swipe in stores or use ATMs. Activate it later by entering the last four digits.

  6. Spend and monitor activity

Pay by tapping, swiping, or using Google Pay, and USDC leaves your wallet only at that moment. Check the card tab for live history, and freeze the card from the app if anything looks off.

Is Solflare Card safe & legit?

Solrise Finance Ltd built the Solflare Card, the same team behind the Solflare wallet that has served Solana users since 2020 without a major wallet hack. The card partners with Mastercard, requires standard KYC, and keeps your USDC in your own wallet until the moment you pay, so no company holds a custodial balance you could lose. No public red flags surround the card since launch, though as with any crypto product you should guard your seed phrase and only download the app from official stores.
