Airdrop season is drainer season. Get the claim URL from the project's own account, not from a search result or a reply, and check it again before signing.

What it costs to qualify
Add up the fees and the capital you have to leave idle. A lot of farming loses money once you price the time and the capital honestly.

A points programme is a marketing device until tokens exist. Treat a dashboard number as an indication of effort, not as an asset you already own.

Sybil filters have caught up. Projects trace funding paths between wallets, and a cluster funded from one source is usually cheaper to detect than it was to build.

Do I pay tax on an airdrop?
In most countries yes, valued when you receive it, and again when you sell. Keep the dates and amounts, since claim transactions are easy to lose track of later.
